Project Context

Energize helps people pursue personal goals through community challenges. I designed the core product journey around discovery, commitment, visible progress, and the motivation to keep participating.

Design Response

I simplified discovery with goal-based categories, surfaced rewards before commitment, and added lightweight social and progress cues. Each screen clarifies the current action and longer-term goal.

UX Challenge

Challenge apps lose momentum when progress feels isolated, rewards lack context, or discovery takes too much effort. The experience needed to motivate users without making gamification feel distracting.

Outcome

The final experience makes challenges easier to evaluate and progress easier to understand. Community and rewards reinforce participation without competing with the user’s primary task.
